Calisthenics, Week 15

Random pulling from a text called How to Read Literature Like a Professor

Handseldee and Greteldum were all born in slave-owning Kentucky; Wile E Cyote guns down two carpetbaggers in the streets of Jefferson. No, not Pocahontas. She never led anyone anywhere. Sacajawea, bingo- add a bit of flesh to the bare bones. It's about sex; the family around the breakfast table, she making love to her hundred-year-old uncle. If she comes up, it's baptism, her family horse farm has been sold off after her father's death, and he's never found her attractive- back to the river to join God. His characters go south, they are really digging deep into a personal fiction based on heart disease... and rarely just illness.

off after father croaked louder than the head
