of Mary Oliver's "Some Questions You Might Ask"
*It should be noted that I chose this poem more for its calisthenic context. The poem is great generative device/writing exercise.
My Improv':
Is the ocean full, like forests in summer?
Or is it stale and managed, like
the acorn trapped in winter. What of the body:
is it made of elastic, pliable and lithe, like air
across blades of grass? Or is it mere puddles
of rain drying under a cloud shaped like bones?
